Averee - This is such a wonderful project! Your family and 4-H leaders must be so proud of you. I will be sending you some fabric and a couple of completed pillowcases.
Our Family and Consumer Science 4-H clubs made pillowcases for Conquer Cancer at our 4-H fair - so we understand that it is a big job (and we only made 100).
Great job!

Yes I still do this. As of the end of June I have made 570 pillowcases. I do most of my updates on my facebook page. It is also called Pocketful of Sunshine and it is at facebook.com/avereeanne. That is great about your daughter and I'm glad your daughter likes looking at my site. Tell her to keep up the good work!

There isn't a post since this past December. Is this a project you are continuing? My daughter who is nine loved looking at this site. She is in her first year of 4H. She has been making small hats/caps for premature babies but had been thinking of adding pillowcases for the older kids or making bigger hats for children going through chemo. I don't know you but I am so proud of you and what you are doing. You are an amazing girl and your parents must be so proud of you!

Averee, what a wonderful project you are doing! My grandson has cancer (leukemia) and I know he'd love a pillowcase. I also know that your Grams would be so very proud of you for honoring her in this way. Good luck as you strive to complete your project! Love, Martha

Avery...you are quite an inspirational young lady. I am passing along your site to my Facebook friends. I expect you won't be short on supplies for a long time!

Hi Averee,
The 4-H project you started is wonderful!! Thank you for all you're doing to help bring happiness and comfort to kids with cancer. Your community service of sewing fun pillowcases is making a real difference in the world. . . one pillowcase at a time!

What a great project. I'm sure all the kids who receive a pillowcase truly appreciates them.
